It was a busy day for U. S. Border Patrol agents when they seized more than 40 pounds of cocaine, valued at over $1 million at their checkpoint on Highway 95 in Yuma. A canine team alerted Border Patrol officers that a suspicious vehicle needed to be inspected – a hidden compartment was found under the backseat.
The drugs were turned over to the Drug Enforcement Administration for processing. If you suspect someone is transporting drugs, the Yuma Sector Border Patrol asks that you contact them at 1-866-999-8727.
