A 31-year old Hemet teacher was arrested and has three felony charges against her for suspicion of having unlawful intercourse and oral copulation with a minor. A 46-year old Murrieta man pleaded not guilty to attempted murder, elder abuse and false imprisonment charges of his 73-year old mother.
According to authorities, the man duct taped his mother to a chair and cut off her oxygen supply in her home at a retirement community. A friend told the San Bernardino Sun Newspaper that the man threatened to kill his mother and himself. He is being held on $1 million bail.

An SUV driver making a dangerous U-turn at a blind corner in Temecula’s wine country caused a motorcyclist to skid, crash into the back of the SUV, and suffer scrapes and bruises on his arms and torso.
The SUV driver left the scene while the motorcyclist was down on the road. Officers later found him and questioned him. It is not clear if he was arrested. In addition - California Vehicle Code Section 21801(a) states, The driver of a vehicle intending to turn to the left or to complete a U-turn upon a highway, or to turn left into public or private property, or an alley, shall yield the right-of-way to all vehicles approaching form the opposite direction which are close enough to constitute a hazard at any time during the turning movement, and shall continue to yield the right-of-way to the approaching vehicles until the left turn or U-turn can be made with reasonable safety.”

A man taking a shower the other morning in Palm Springs heard noises outside his bathroom door and exited the shower. He discovered a robber in his home attempting to take his laptop computer.
When the man confronted the robber, the robber hit him several times with the computer and then fled the scene with other items. The victim called the police who responded within minutes. They chased the suspect several streets, including jumping over walls. The suspect entered another home through an unlocked sliding door to hide in. Unfortunately the owner was a retired law enforcement officer who detained the suspect at gunpoint until police arrived and arrested him.
The items taken from the first home were found in the neighborhood. Police discovered that the suspect was on probation and took him to a correctional facility in Banning.

A driver of an SUV hit a 14-year old boy while he was crossing a busy city intersection on his skateboard in Temecula recently.
The fatal accident is under investigation. It is not clear if the boy was crossing in a crosswalk when he was hit. An 84-year old Moreno Valley man who was standing next to his SUV at an exit on the Interstate 10 late the other night was hit by a tractor-trailer.

A 20-year old man died the other night in Lake Elsinore when the driver of a pickup truck he was in lost control on a curve of the road, causing the vehicle to overturn.
