A 40-year old man of Desert Center, was arrested by Riverside County Sheriff deputies for alleged child molestation charges after an adult female reported him. The woman stated that he molested her as a child – between the ages of 8 and 15.
The charges included unlawful sex with a minor under 14, penetration with an object and aggravated child sexual assault. The relationship between the victim and suspect was not made known. The man is being held on $1 million bail. He will have his day in court on August 30 in Indio. I suggest the man get himself a very skilled and experienced Criminal Law Attorney because the charges against him come with severe penalties and a possible prison term.

Recently I heard from someone who was bitten by a dog. She wanted to know if she needed an attorney. I told her yes. An attorney can make the situation less stressful and more efficient; they know what to say and what not to say. A good attorney can handle the case with the dog owner’s insurance company and get the claim resolved without going to court – most of the time.
An experienced attorney can evaluate your claim and determine compensation for you, which includes any lost time from work, especially if you are injured and out for a substantial amount of time. Retaining an attorney early in the process is the key to a better settlement for you – it ensures that the claim will be handled quickly and in an efficient manner.

A 12-year old girl was killed recently because a 21-year old man, ran a red light. Not only was this young girl killed, but also her mother and 21-year old brother were badly injured, according to California Highway Patrol officers.
The man was arrested for the possibility of driving under the influence. He broadsided the vehicle that had the three individuals. The accident is under investigation. How very sad for this young girl and her family.
I would urge the man to contact an experienced Criminal Attorney as soon as possible for the help he will need. There is a chance he was driving under the influence, but more importantly, a child was killed because of his actions.

For those of you stuck in late afternoon traffic between Laurel Avenue and 11th Street the other day and not knowing why, let me tell you. Two people riding a motorcycle on Interstate 10 in Beaumont were injured because of debris in the road. The debris fell from a trailer.
The two individuals were taken to a local hospital where their condition is unknown. I hope they consult an experienced Personal Injury attorney who will investigate, find the trailer that lost the debris and make sure these individuals get compensated for their medical expenses.

The other day, in the middle of the afternoon, in the middle of a busy intersection, a 17-year old boy was hit by an automobile while cycling through the intersection. The boy was taken to a local hospital where he was treated for non-life threatening injuries.

Did you hear about the recent Moreno Valley 3-automobile accident on Cottonwood Avenue where one person was killed and two injured? It seems the driver of a black Honda was driving erratically – weaving in and out of traffic. It cut-off or hit a Ford Explorer, causing the Ford to swerve into oncoming traffic, hitting a Nissan minivan head-on.
The 54-year old woman driver of the Ford was taken to a local hospital where she died from injuries sustained in the accident. A male passenger in this vehicle sustained a broken ankle and the male driver of the Nissan complained of chest pains. They were taken to a local hospital and treated for their injuries. According to witnesses and investigators, the black Honda fled the scene.
Police are still investigating this accident. They ask anyone with information to contact them at 951-486-6700. My sympathies go out to the family of the driver of the Ford Explorer, a woman who was in the wrong place at the wrong time.

A hit-and-run driver who allegedly caused a multi-vehicle crash in Murrieta that killed three people has not been found. A small group recently gathered to mourn the loss of a young girl and her uncle who were among the victims killed. The girl was due to graduate from 5th grade in June.
Police are looking for a man reported to have been driving erratically in the area. The mother of this young girl is hoping the driver will come forward. Police are looking for a black Honda or Acura with tinted windows and spinner wheels driven by a white male about 20-25 with short dark hair, clean-shaven and a tattoo on his left forearm. The description was given to the police by an eyewitness.
The police are asking for anyone with information to step forward and call 951-769-2000.
How sad for the family of these victims.

Roads in California always have vehicles on them. This includes passenger cars, trucks, motorcycles and bicycles. With all these vehicles in a rush to get somewhere, no wonder there are collisions occurring all the time. At any time, one can witness a near miss, impatient or distracted driver. Everyone seems to be in a hurry.
If you travel through the north end of the Coachella Valley, you will notice ten new signs along the unofficial bike routes that urge motorists and bicyclists to “Share the Road.” The Desert Bicycle Club and the Riverside County Department of Transportation worked together to come up with these signs with help in the way of a $1,800 grant from the Desert Healthcare District.
The purpose of these signs is to alert motorists that bicyclists use these roads and to drive safely. The signs also remind bicyclists to obey the rules of the road. Most of the roads have only two lanes and no separate bike lanes.
