A 49-year old motorcyclist was killed as he rode on the 91 Freeway over the weekend.
According to CHP, the accident involved two motorcycles and four automobiles. The 49-year old apparently crashed into an SUV. Traffic was worse than ever when the accident closed the westbound side of the freeway down for almost an hour.
He was taken to a nearby hospital where he died shortly afterwards. The accident is under investigation to determine what happened.

Anyone at the intersection of Alejo Road and Sunrise Way in Palm Springs the other afternoon was probably delayed by the four-vehicle accident that took placed.
Four vehicles were involved in an accident; three had to be towed away. A 29-year old woman was transported to a nearby hospital complaining of leg pain; there were no other injuries reported.
Intersections are one of the most dangerous spots on California roads. Statistics show that at least one-third of vehicle accidents and 40% of all fatalities happen at an intersection. The most common ‘right-of-way’ rule is that a person turning left should yield the right-of-way to a vehicle approaching from the opposite direction.
Local police are investigating to determine the cause of this accident.
If you are involved in an accident at an intersection, contact a Riverside County Personal Injury attorney with a high level of expertise in California rules of the road – an attorney who will stand up for you and get you compensation for your injuries and damages.

According to The Press-Enterprise, a 31-year old woman and a 43-year old man died after crashing head-on with each other on the Ramona Expressway in Riverside. The woman, driving a Chevy pickup truck, drifted over the centerline and crashed into an oncoming Toyota driven by the man. Both died almost immediately.
California Highway Patrol records indicate that Riverside County, in 2008, had over 200 fatalities and more than 8,500 injuries due to car accidents.
This accident is under investigation to determine what caused it – numerous questions arise. If the woman was at fault, the family of the man can file a wrongful death claim seeking compensation for expenses and damages. If the vehicle manufacturer is found to be at fault, they could be responsible for all expenses and damages. I hope the man’s family contacts an experienced Riverside County Personal Injury attorney who will analyze all details of the accident. In the meantime, my deepest sympathies go out to the families of the woman and the man.

Because of the recent long Memorial Day holiday, the Blythe Police Department conducted a DUI checkpoint to reduce alcohol-related vehicle accidents. The purpose of the checkpoint is to identify drunk drivers and get them off the road. Blythe has not had any fatalities this year and they would like to keep it that way.
The Blythe Police Department believes that by enforcing awareness of the consequences of drinking and driving, they can encourage sober designated drivers. Any driver found to be under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs will be arrested.
If you have been pulled over and arrested for drunk driving, I urge you to contact an experienced Criminal Law attorney who is familiar with California DUI laws.
