Riverside County Sheriff deputies reported that a 38-year old man from Menifee crashed his van into a vehicle the other day and then stabbed the driver with a cordless drill before stabbing himself with the tool.

According to officers, the man was trying to detoxify himself from pain pills and had not slept in several days.  They said the man was hallucinating and purposely crashed his van into the other vehicle, injuring the two people inside.

Deputies arrested the man and placed him on a mental health hold.  He was later booked into the Detention Center in Murrieta.  The two victims in the other vehicle were taken to a nearby medical center for treatment of stab wounds and injuries.

The incident is under investigation. If you are injured in an accident by someone who is under the influence of drugs, contact an experienced Riverside Personal Injury attorney who will discuss your options for compensation of your expenses with you.

A 40-year old man of Desert Center, was arrested by Riverside County Sheriff deputies for alleged child molestation charges after an adult female reported him.  The woman stated that he molested her as a child – between the ages of 8 and 15.

The charges included unlawful sex with a minor under 14, penetration with an object and aggravated child sexual assault.  The relationship between the victim and suspect was not made known.  The man is being held on $1 million bail.  He will have his day in court on August 30 in Indio.  I suggest the man get himself a very skilled and experienced Criminal Law Attorney because the charges against him come with severe penalties and a possible prison term.
