It is unfortunate but in today’s society prescription drugs, as well as recreational or street drugs, are abused too often by people of all ages.
Although all drug crime charges are felonies and a serious crime, a drug trafficking charge is one of the most serious charges. A person does not have to be caught with a large amount of drugs in their possession; a small amount can get you arrested.
Street drugs are the most common drugs used in drug trafficking. They include methamphetamines, marijuana, cocaine and heroin. In addition, prescription drugs also play a part in drug trafficking. The most common drugs include Oxycotin, Xanax, Valium and Vicodin. The felony charge depends on the type of drug and the amount you are caught with.
The consequences for a drug trafficking charge include jail, fines, court costs and probation. A conviction can impact your future.
If you are arrested for drug trafficking, this is a serious crime. Contact a skilled Riverside Criminal Law attorney who will aggressively fight for your rights.

As anyone knows who lives in and around the Palm Springs area, there are too many open roads – roads which cause many to drive over the speed limit. No driver enjoys getting pulled over by an officer who issues a speeding ticket, especially one who pulls out his radar gun and presents you with his evidence.
If you are one of the unlucky ones to get a ticket for speeding thanks to a radar system, hope is not completely gone. You do not have to deal with the consequences which include fines and insurance rate increases.
A radar system that the police use to monitor traffic tells the officer how fast a vehicle is going; however, it can’t measure distance or pick out one specific vehicle from others. The officer must make that call. There are ways to fight a ticket given by a ‘radar arrest’.
If you have been given a ticket for speeding, you may be facing a complex battle. It would be wise to contact a Riverside Criminal Law attorney who is experienced with other speeding ticket cases and can represent you properly.

Narcotics investigators closed down a Beaumont marijuana dispensary this week, ending a 7-month investigation of the facility.
Previously, the City of Beaumont had fined the dispensary $600,000. When investigators showed up the other day, they arrested five people for possession of marijuana, and seized unknown amounts of marijuana and hashish. Four other locations were also raided; two turned out to be marijuana grow houses.
The City does not allow medical marijuana facilities; they have been fined $1,000 every day they maintained operations. Now that the business has been identified as a criminal enterprise, it will be served a cease-and-desist notice.
If you are arrested for possession of marijuana, remember that medical marijuana is legal in California only for qualified individuals. Otherwise, possession is a misdemeanor crime and punishable by a possible jail sentence and fine.
I would suggest you contact an experienced Riverside County Criminal Law attorney who has a proven record of defending marijuana charges. This is a serious offense.
